Two Welsh hornpipes. Rhif Wyth was one of the traditional
dances of Llanofer, and was originally collected and noted
by Hugh Mellor in 1926, while Pibddawns Abertawe,
under many different titles, is a well-known hornpipe in England,
Ireland and Scotland. Nansi Richards learnt this hornpipe
from her harp teacher, Tom Lloyd, and mentions its popularity
amongst the Welsh Romany musicians – the Roberts and
Wood families.
